The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been queried by The Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) for allowing crisis within its fold to worsen less than a year to the 2019 general elections.
While addressing the executive members of the BCO, Market Men and Women Association of Nigeria in Abuja yesterday, the BCO National Co-ordinator, Alhaji Danladi Pasali, said the organisation would do everything legitimately to ensure that Buhari retains his seat in 2019.
Alh. Danladi who alleged that there were several strategies to tarnish Buhari’s image and frustrate his government, stated that the farmers/herdsmen crisis was part of the numerous plots to stop Buhari’s re-election.
He said: “The change agenda has started and it’s not the time to pocket billions of Naira. But corruption is fighting back. The issue of herdsmen is an agenda to destabilise the system.”
On his part, the BCO Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), Engr. Markus Gundiri, blamed the APC as a party for getting involved in internal crisis in a pre-election year.
“The APC has gone into so many problems, I don’t know why. But we are going to campaign for him (Buhari) for the primaries and for his re-election. Don’t get tired, there are so many things we need to do. We need to mobilise and reach out to all the voting units of this country,” he said.
